Meeting with Forestview

It was great speaking with the students from Forestview High. Even though they were only one year younger than us, it felt nostalgic talking about the days we were in high school. It was fun describing how scary it is before you start college. I kind of felt intimidated knowing that they were doing the same stuff we were doing in college. It was like we were doing high school work instead college work.

I like the group work the most! It was fun learning about the other's thought about college readiness. What I like most was that they all participated. Most students would not want to participate. They rather sit around and feel all awkward. I wouldn't mind working with these students again.

  1. I had so much fun with my group too! I feel like we all learned a lot form each other. They asked me and Abby a bunch of questions about college, and it was great to give them all our answers. I didn't think the day would go that well but it really did, I'm glad your group was good too!

  2. I agree!!!! I really enjoyed my group!! I wasn't so much intimidated that they were doing the same work we were doing because I felt that they had the advantage that I did not have. Their teacher was actually preparing them for college work. So even if they aren't prepared in any other area they will be prepared for English.

  4. I had so much fun with my group too! They were very interactive and very engaging. I didnt think that this experience was going to be as fun as i thought it was going to be. Im glad Lacy and Mrs. G made this Meetup a success.

  5. I also found it interesting that we could be so much help to students that are only a year younger than us.

  6. I'm glad that the students participated. I think that it's a little worrisome knowing that they are studying the same things we are, however, all grades do that and each year we build off of it more and more.
